It a surprise--we had thought that making our decision to leave after glancing at the weather twice was enough until we drove through Wenatchee and was greeted by snow on either ridgeline beside us. Further into Leavenworth, there was a slurry of snow and slush on the road, and by the time we got to our campsite we were on what seemed to feel like an ice rink. If the road couldn't tell us enough, the entire weekend was a bit crispy, but luckily our friend Ryan brought his stove and saved us all from losing our toes.
